Communication Coordinator

About NWC:

Established in March 2019 as a non-profit organization led by migrant and refugee women. It is working towards creating systemic changes in policy and practice that ensure communities from migration backgrounds, especially women, can fully exercise their rights to protection, services and self-sufficiency. Our vision is that inclusive and fair policies for migrants can only be realized if those migrants themselves have a voice and have the ambition, capacity and opportunity to influence the policy-making process.

Leading principles are Intersectional Feminism, Anti-Racism, Human Rights, Democratic Governance and Migration.

Our scope of work is Awareness raising, Empowerment and advocacy, Training and Bridging gaps.


We are looking for

A highly committed, pro-active colleague with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative, who is a great team player and problem solver. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills. You will manage the coordination of the tasks and different projects and also be responsible for external communication and digital marketing.


You can be anywhere in Europe to apply, as long as you can work remotely with efficiency and responsibility.



Key responsibilities:

• Providing support with filing documents and keeping electronic folders updated

• Updating and maintaining contact databases (e.g., CRM database)

• Drafting different documents (small notes, meeting minutes, etc.) and providing support in fulfilling legal and statutory requirements

• Assisting in the organization of meetings, conferences, and visits

• Creating social media posts as coverage for our events and projects

• Supporting the team to maintain the website up to date and sending out regular newsletters and updates

• Creating and/or updating presentations and ensuring that the brand guidelines are respected

• Assisting the Managing Director in performing other related admin tasks (e.g., finance, accounting, and HR) • Support Internal communication processes and community and volunteer engagement and keeping the team informed about upcoming events and projects.


Qualifications, skills and competencies:

• 1 - 2 years in a similar administrative/operational position

• Proficiency in English. Working knowledge of Dutch would be advantageous.

• Very good computer skills (Slack, Trello, GDrive, Email, Canva etc)

• Able to use social media platforms

• Good communicator with strong organization skills and attention to detail

• A creative problem solver with and ability to create solutions with little resources

Salary is to be offered based on the level of experience and geographical location in Europe.

The team is very independent working remotely but has amazing relationships and the successful candidate will feel right at home. Flexible working hours as long as the job gets done well.
