On Friday, October 11, in collaboration with other organizations, we submitted a formal summons to Minister Faber in response to the proposed emergency asylum law.
We invite you to join us in opposing this legislation. The more voices that are raised, the stronger our collective stance becomes. You can still make your voice heard by signing the "Stop the Emergency Act" petition from DeGoedeZaak.
Interest groups are raising the pressure against Minister Marjolein Faber's dangerous plans to introduce an emergency asylum law. Together with, Here to Support, DeGoedeZaak, MiGreat, STIL Utrecht, SAWA Collective, and Stichting Gast, we have issued a formal summons to the minister, urging her to abandon these harmful intentions.
The proposed law threatens the rights of asylum seekers, undocumented people, and those in asylum procedures, while tens of thousands of citizens stand in solidarity.
New Women Connectors stand for justice, inclusion, and human dignity, advocating for those most vulnerable to policy decisions. As Malou Lintmeijer, speaking on behalf of the organizations, stated: "With total disrespect for human rights and the rule of law, this government is plunging people on the run into great uncertainty. If Minister Faber thinks she can sideline democracy with her harsh scapegoating policies, she will find us standing firm in opposition."
This is a fight for justice, human dignity, and democracy. Stand with us!
