Dear fellow refugee/migrant, sir, madam, friend,
Thank you for your interest in filling out this application to join us during the Second European Summit of Refugees and Migrants, taking place in Berlin between the 17th and 19th January 2023.
The first European Summit of Refugee and Migrants was held in April 2019 in Brussels, because we believe that a new narrative in Europe is needed.
And now, in order to continue the work and expand the impact, we are, again, bringing together at least 60 refugee and migrant leaders from all the European countries (28 including UK) to plan and coordinate their efforts and influence the European agenda as new active EU citizens.
The Summit is an occasion for us to meet and share a common vision for the future, as well as set a common agenda for migrant and refugee action. Further, your input will be used to put together the agenda and themes for the Summit and to start building alliances and shared advocacy messages that can amplify our voices and draw a road-map for action.
We are selecting a variety of stories, levels of experience and goals, and a diverse set of individuals to join us in the summit based on the following criteria:
Participants should be a self-identified refugee or migrant
Participants should be working on refugee and migrant advocacy in different capacities
Participants should represent a network (organization, an established network, an informal network, community)
Participants will be selected with an age, gender and diversity balanced-approach.
The form takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes to fill out.
